Every kid already had to deal with sharing something with their brother, cousin or friend, and we know that this division has to be meticulous equal. Is there a way to accurately solve this riddle?
This is an animated short film made during my semester learning 3d at the university. We were free to create the script and the concepts, the goal was to pass through an entire 3d production pipeline. My focus here was to learn to animate a 3d character, relying deeply on the music to create an engaging animation.
Concepts
I knew I wanted some kind of unreal characters, so I started experimenting with a lot of unusual shapes for the head and body. In general, they were big-headed, to be more easily identified as kids.
For them, I had two more needs: the first one was to make them look like brothers, but not be copied on each other. I wanted one to be older, so they could contrast in personality and appearance. The second was to make them relate to soda cups, reinforcing their need for the drink.

Character design
I ended up with this very geometric design, which would allow some extreme and interesting movements and also be charismatic. I put some spheres over their head so I could add an extra layer with follow through at the animation state, and it also served to relate to soda bobbles.
I choose red for the restless youngest one and green for the calmer and smart older one. Their names are respectively Martin and Theo.
